To make auctions personal, approachable, and fun, and to bring the thrill of discovery back to collecting.

Buying at auction should feel like an adventure, not an exam. You don’t need to know the jargon to belong here. We’ll walk you through it, pour you a glass, and point out the thing in the corner you didn’t know you needed.

We bring serious expertise to every sale, and we’re serious about building something big in this small, remarkable community. We just never take it too seriously.

A visitor to Truman Capote’s New York apartment once said his rooms held the contents of “a very astute little boy’s pockets … everything that might seem useful or handy in a day’s adventuring around the world.” That’s the feeling we chase. We are not a conventional auction house, and we don’t hold what we do too preciously. We love odd things and quirky people. We have fun. The people who find us understand the spirit of it: irreverent and curious. Whenever you walk into the barn or browse a sale, we want it to feel a little like the inside of a very astute little boy’s pockets.
